With a long history, attested by Roman ruins and rock tombs.<\/p>\n<p>There are only two islands large enough to offer accommodation options and regular ferry connections: Ponza and Ventotene. The other islands of the Pontine Archipelago, including the Zannone nature reserve, can be visited on boat trips from the two largest islands.<\/p>\n<p>Palmarola a small island in front of Ponza and almost uninhabited. There is a small berth for boats and a restaurant (only in summer).
